Day of the Dead Tour

Taste your way through 5 de Diciembre as Vallarta gears up for Día de Muertos

MORE DATES ADDED!!

This limited-time tour is being offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays the last two weeks of October, and November 1.

For the adventurous foodie looking to experience the history, beauty, and magic of Día de Muertos book now for our limited-time Day of the Dead tour in 5 de Diciembre.

Our Day of the Dead tour includes a stop at Vallarta’s largest cemetery, Panteón 5 de Diciembre, where you will learn about the significance of this centuries-old celebration of the dead with roots in the Aztec culture. You will also get a piece of the celebration’s Pan de Muerto (Mexican sweet bread), and a traditional sugar skull.

Meet the families behind the food as you stroll though the historic cobbled streets sampling stewed and grilled meats using recipes passed down through generations. You will also visit an outdoor market selling fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, and meats, as well as taste a tortilla literally hot off the press.

You will not leave hungry. Some of the traditional Mexican foods you may try are goat or beef birria, pork aldilla, pork carnitas, crispy potato, Baja fish taco, stuffed gordita, beef asada, and more. The tour wraps up with a dessert stop for homemade ice cream with traditional flavors including lime, coconut, hibiscus, and others seasonal flavors.

Tours are limited to 10 guests. Call or email us to set up a tour for groups over 10.

This tour is curated to give an authentic immersive experience and is not recommended for Vegetarians/Pescatarians/Vegans/Plant-Based Diets.
