As part of their Vallarta wedding celebration Maddy and Chris are offering guests the opportunity to explore historic Old Town Vallarta on a custom “Taco Adventure” on Saturday, November 22 at 1pm. In just three hours you’ll get a taste of the food and culture of Mexico and see why PV was the perfect location for their wedding celebration.
You can plan on four savory food stops where you will taste five full-size portions of local morning/afternoon foods, a dessert stop for homemade Mexican popsicles or ice cream, as well as a visit to a tortilla factory to see how neighborhood tortillas are made and try one hot off the press. Some of the traditional foods and tacos you will find on your tour: beef birria chilaquiles, beef machaca and eggs, pork adobada, chicken tinga, and pork chorizo. We advise to come hungry.
The tour also includes bottled water and seasonal agua fresca at select stops to drink. Alcohol is not included in the price of the tour, but you can let your guide know if you would like to purchase alcohol along the way.
Maddy & Chris’ Taco Adventure is a walking tour that covers a little under a mile over three hours, so there is plenty of time to rest along the way, but still plan on wearing comfortable shoes as Old Town’s streets are primarily cobblestone.

Transportation
Transportation is not included, however it is an easy 15 minute ride from Secrets Vallarta Bay to the tour meeting point via taxi or Uber (see route below). If you have the Uber app it will work in Puerto Vallarta, just remember that you will be looking at the cost in Pesos, so do not be shocked by the price. An UberXL for six guests is approximately $250 Pesos (around $13 USD) while UberX for four guests is approximately $120 Pesos (around $6.50 USD).

Your Taco Adventure begins outside River Cafe Restaurant in Old Town Puerto Vallarta (Isla Rio Cuale 4, Zona Romántica, Centro, 48300 Puerto Vallarta). Your Vallarta Eats Foodie Guide can be identified by the Vallarta Eats polo shirt they will be wearing. If you are driving please allow time to get parking. Make sure to check our FAQ for driving times from nearby hotels and resorts.
Ending Point
Paletería Y Nevería La Michoacana. Your Vallarta Eats Foodie Guide will assist you by providing instructions for returning to your hotel or vacation rental via foot, bus or taxi.

Cancellation Policy
Tours or individual tickets cancelled more than 48 hours in advance of scheduled tour time will receive a full refund. Tours canceled fewer than 48 hours can be rescheduled with a $20 rebooking fee, but are not eligible for refund. Tours that are rebooked cannot be refunded even prior to the 48 hour cancelation window. Guests who are “No-Shows” — guests who do not show up for their scheduled tour time or are not present when the tour leaves the starting point (10 minutes after the tour’s scheduled start time) are not eligible for refund or rescheduling. Unless mandated by the national weather authority, tours run rain or shine, and tours will not be canceled once the tour has started. Guests who decide to abandon a tour for any reason once the tour has started are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
Gift Cards and Gift Certificates are non-refundable.
Booking insurance is available for purchases of a $9.99 flat fee made through the website and covers cancelations made between 24 and 48 hours prior to tour start time
